Grapevine Southlake fertility doctor, Beverly Reed, M.D. is passionate about resolving infertility for her patients
Dr. Beverly Reed is an experienced physician, choosing to pursue a sub-specialty fellowship in reproductive endocrinology after practicing as a board certified ObGyn. She has a special interest in research, and contributes to the field of reproductive medicine as Associate Editor of Human Reproduction and is our Grapevine Southlake fertility doctor.
Dr. Reed began her education at Texas A&M University, obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical science. She went on to earn her medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine and was accepted into residency training at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Science Education Consortium (SAUSHEC). During her medical training, Dr. Reed was the recipient of many awards, including the Academic Excellence Award; Best Teaching Resident Award; Chairman’s Award; Outstanding Graduating Resident Award; and Outstanding Chief Resident Award for Laparoscopic Surgical Skills. Once her residency training was complete, Dr. Reed practiced as an ObGyn, and during this time she discovered her true passion in life – employing a personalized team approach to helping patients overcome the struggles of infertility.
Dr. Reed then completed a three-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. During her extensive training, she delved into every aspect of infertility evaluation and treatment. She also received advanced training in minimally invasive surgery, performing myomectomies and ovarian cystectomies, with the da Vinci™ Surgical System. She was also noted for her excellent skill in performing tubal reversal.
Dr. Reed is a noted researcher
Dr. Reed has produced more than 27 research abstracts that have been presented at meetings all over the United States. She has also authored or coauthored 10 academic publications. Dr. Reed’s research interests include studying the effects of environmental toxins on fertility and specialized IVF protocols for diminished ovarian reserve.
In her spare time, Dr. Reed supports other women physicians as the co-founder, author and editor of mommadocs.org.
