Our Arlington fertility doctor, Renju Raj, M.D. provides expert care in reproductive endocrinology and infertility
Dr. Renju Raj is a medical educator, researcher and physician. He has a variety of special interests in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility, including recurrent pregnancy loss; endometrial receptivity and implantation; fertility-sparing surgeries; and multi-disciplinary management of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Dr. Raj completed his medical school training at the prestigious Manipal University in India. He performed his medical residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Maricopa Medical Center/St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. After residency training, he became a faculty member in the department of obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive sciences at the University of Vermont Medical Center.
During his time in Vermont, Dr. Raj was not only actively involved in educating medical students and residents, but he was also conducting research related to embryo implantation and placentation. He has published research and has presented his abstracts at international medical meetings. Dr. Raj was also awarded career development recognition by the renowned National Institutes of Health (NIH) for his work at the University of Vermont.
Dr. Raj also completed fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Vermont. He focused his fellowship research on the study of the androgen receptor gene and its effects on the treatment outcomes in women with PCOS.
